Quality Time

Friday night. I just arrived at home when my youngest daughter said to me, "Walid, do you go to work tomorrow?"
I said. "No honey, why?"
"If I you are not busy, I want you to go with me to traditional dance contest " she said.
"She will perform Gelantek dance" said Ummi.

Gelantek is a kind of traditional dance from Jakarta area. It is actually an influence of Chinese tradition into Jakarta original people.
"Sure. I will take picture of my beautiful princess" I said, without a second thought. I remembered that tomorrow I will have a meeting with colleagues from an Islamic foundation. And I soon texted them to cancel the meeting. She smiled and went into bed, moving her hands as if she were performing the dance.

I've been reminded by many colleagues to spare more time I have to my children so that they might not "lost" you. Too many stories tell us about how the parent should miss their children just because they give priority to their job. I won't let it happen to me and my family.

Saturday morning we went to her school, SDN Margahayu 13 in which the students who were already listed should gather on. And then from there we went into Bekasi Sport Complex where the contest was held.

I (again) just realized that my smallest kid now becomes a (beautiful) girl. And, though I heard it many times from other people, she is the cutest among my kids, especially her nose, which makes her like an Arab. I don't know from whom she inherits that lovely nose.
