It has been 30 months after the execution of big choice. The choice itself is already taken 360 days before the execution, during which all of us, who are in the secondment program, suffer most from being "outsider" mistreatment. No out-of-office assignment, no structural position, no invitation for gathering. We are like "Sudra-class people" after marking "return to old institution" choice, which will be implemented one year afterwards. 350 people out of one thousand seconded employees chose to go back to their initial employer and do not want to be lured by temptation of promises, like promotion and salary increase.
At the beginning of 2017, first days of returning from secondment, a new hope from old and beloved institution has been laid down by holding welcoming programs. This hope seems still glittering even the incumbent governor's term comes to end. One year already passed without many change in our life, especially "diaspora" colleague. The term diaspora was used by us suggesting that we are forced to be out of office and expecting to return to our old place.
Now, few of us has an opportunity to promote to a higher rank. By performance? Not sure. Some may be considered by performance, but certainly there are others who are by preference. For me, the misery seems already befriended with me since I was recruited through multi-entry program in 1999. The management seems have a choir of deleting my name from any better position. Is it because I am branded as sharia people who do not know anything other than sharia matter, and do not have any competency of duing anything? Wallahu A'lam. My own case seemed worsened by the end of 2017 incident when his excellency the fucking governor was blaming me of not having present in the Surabaya event, when by accident he was looking for me for nothing. I was flying to Kuala Lumpur for my daughter convocation the same day he asked my director. My absence seems become a trigger for my disaster, prolonged bad conduite for performance. I have been considered unreliable employee, worthless of any reward. (Astaghfirullah). I just wonder whether the governor, deputy governor and directors if they have their children convocated, will they stay in big event like ISEF?
To the worse, for some times in the future, people will have more challenges (difficulties) before climbing into a higher position. New criteria has been added for promotion, which means only fewer people who can be nominated and more managers will stay longer in their position, more retirement in lower grade, and of course, fewer pension fund will be paid accordingly.
From the day of inauguration new Governor talks about "institution religy" in which people are expected to be more piety in doing their duty in office. Pray together on time, fasting for Monday and Thursday, listening to regular sermon and other individual rite to do. These programs are compulsory for high level managers. From reilgious perspective one may see this is a good program, as many employee will be more "religious" and hence become more trustable. However there is an atmosphere of hypocricy since "forced programme"is not followed by Islamic ethics of treating empolyees with affection and merits. By other word it can be said, it is just programe of self promotion to be known as Islamic leader. Damn with you Governor!
